What is, in your opinion, the best soft case for a CAR/M4 length AR? I'm just looking for what some of you guys use, truth be told I already ordered one off Tactical Tailor. Thanks  |

I have a Blackhawk discreet weapons bag. I've had it for at least a year or so and it's seen a lot of use. The material they use really holds up well. It's also an excellently designed bag, albeit expensive like all Blackhawk stuff. If you get it, get an extra mag insert for the second pocket. I have two of the mag inserts (for 6 mags total) and there's still room in the middle to dump stuff like slings and spare parts bags. |

I had the Eagle Discrete case and it sucked, the new seems to be better. The older case had the mag pouches in the same compartment as the rifle, dumb idea since there isn't enough room for them both and it balloons the case out. I sold it and bought the Blackhawk Weapons Transport Case. It will hold my M4 and 870 in a divided interior pocket as well as a pistol and mags in the outer pocket. Includes the pistol and mag holders as well. Very well made for the a Chinese case but what can you do. Other choice would be the I-Shot but they are a lot more. I had the I-Shot range bag but was un-impressed with the materials used. Very cheap feeling bag, I hope the SERT bag is made tougher. Blackhawk: http://www.lapolicegear.com/blwetrca.html |

The eagle cases are first rate, Ive got a few for my carbines and 20 inches now.... Need to get off my but and order another one.. For the price its a heck of a deal...

Years ago it was made in the US and they're quality was top notch! I wish I never sold my made in the US Blackhawk Vest. |

I was able to get firsthand experience with the Eagle (old style with mag pouches in same pocket as rifle), Blackhawk, Tactical Tailor and i-Shot. Just in terms of "best", the i-Shot SERT is the best case out of all of them in my opinion. The Tactical Tailor was arguably a better value though as it many (though not all) features at a very reasonable price. Those two cases and the new case from TAG (that looks remarkably like the i-Shot case) were my top three choices. |
My 42" SERT is about to get a little brother. These cases are the best soft cases IMO I only would use pelicans before i found out about the I-Shot SERT |
