Patch, that is funny.  I'm a dumbass.  f&*kin' velrco.  Attention to detail and all of that but its a lot easier for the simple minded folks like me with everything sewn on.  I have one set of ACUs that the velcro is crappy looking already with the tear off your patches game.

Being an old man who served ALMOST 30yrs ago as a jarhead, this post has me rolling! I should really leave it to the Army guys to dish it out over the unit patch placement since we never used unit patches. But come on, an AIRBORNE patch upside down tells me one thing....... Yep, you guessed it! "Damn Velcro" was the excuse. Sure...........

The point is, most of us have, and or still do wear the uniform, and a fuck up like that is beyond comprehension. Even for a Recruit two weeks beyond Reception Battalion, let alone an "NCO", hence the rampant suspicion.....

With this stupid new velcro shit I bet that happens often especially with a patch that almost looks the same either way. Give the guy a break. At least your wings weren't on upside down. I agree with them on the safety selector being on fire. Can't stand it when half the AR's I see on here are on fire. Just something that was drilled into me and that was to always have it on safe.

Ok, before we bust on ChupDOg to much here.  What unit? Are you on the Training Team or a support dude?  Have you been to selection before (no shame in failing, most of the cats who make selection the first time, get failed at the SUT during the Q)
And for the record, the M4A1 are stored in the arms room with the weapon on fire, hammer forward, also with the sight rail indexed forward one notch to fix the racks.
And if you leave your cool guy shit on the rails, it won't be there when you get the M4 back out, cause some other team will rat fuck your shit.

I beg your pardon, <Knock This Crap Off - Forest>..

Weapon comes out of the arms room and the charging handle comes back, eyeball hits the chamber, dustcover gets closed and the weapon goes on safe.

It works the same way through the arms room door/window as it does from under your mommies beds...

Wrong, <Knock This Crap Off - Forest>..  Before the weapon is put into the arms room the charging handle is pulled back, you eyeball the chamber, release the charging handle and then PULL THE TRIGGER.  I don't know what fucked up branch of the military your in or have been in, but the way I've described it is the way it's suppossed to be.

I'm not trying to start an argument here, but if you actually READ the post you quoted (you can read, right?) you can see where it says "weapon comes out of the arms room..." you would know that I'm not talking about turning in the weapon, but rather taking it out.

Walking around w/ an unsafe weapon is, well, not how a professional goes about things.

But that's OK... keep on defending FUCKED UP sergeants, the Army doesn't have enough already...

Reading comprehension isn't one of your high points, is it?  Here, allow me to help you.

You quoted glock10mm with him specifically saying how a weapon should be stored.
Then you went off on a tangent about what position the selector switch should be in when the rifle is checked out of the arms room.
I then responded with the detailed step by step procedure for prepping a rifle for storage (since this is what glock10mm was originally talking about anyway...).

Good to meet a fellow Colt 6400c owner.  Very sweet weapon you have there.

I sent the upper to CMMG to have the FSB swapped and barrel shortened to the 14.7" and a A2 flash suppressor installed.

The did a very good job with the flash suppressor.  The not so good part was the gas tube was not pinned in the FSB, and for some reason the CMMG gas tube ahd a slightly larger diameter than the Colt.  When I inserted the BCG it only when in about 9/10.  When I pulled the BCG out the gas tube came with it.  I had to pin the gas tube in the FSB myself, and then reduce the diameter of the gas tube with some fine grit sandpaper.

Shot it late Saturday afternoon for a quick zero and got about 4" at 100 yards , with the KAC 300m, after running up and down the range trying to get setup as the sun went down.

If this was in the last month or two, I probably did the shorten and thread job on that barrel for CMMG.
CMMG has been sending me a bunch of their "shop work" jobs like shorten/thread/profiling.
