How to remove the pivot pin on the Bushmaster lower ?? Thanks |
| I did mine by inserting the smallest jewelers screwdriver into the groove on the pin and depressing the detent. If you don't have a tiny jewelers screwdriver you could possibly use the pointy end of a small finishing nail. It's a bit tricky but it can be done. |

Now I have only three rifles that use the standard pivot pin and all three of them have Stag/CMT lower parts kits. All three of those pivot pins have a small hole drilled through them so you can insert a straightened paper clip, or some such small thing, and depress the detent and spring. When pushed down far enough you can rotate the pivot pin 90* and pull it out. Watch for flying detents and springs though. It sure seems that if all AR's/M16s aren't like this they ought to be. |
