I have a couple of ideas for my next gun, I am thinking of getting a flattop upper reciever, putting in on my 20" A2 HBAR, and mounting a decent scope on it,  then, using the A2 upper(carry handle) and doing a dissapater style upper

ok, I found the mounts

new question, who has a setup like this, and how do you like it?

Edited by Forest to properly spell EOTech in the title

I use the LaRue but I also like it just mounted to the flattop.  If I'm using a folding BUIS I like it mounted directly to the flattop, if I'm using the LaRue fixed BUIS I like the LaRue ECOS mount.

This is my setup, and it is really a KISS way to go. It keeps everything down lower which helps with the check weld versus the chin weld when things get mounted higher and higher. Good luck experimenting.

If you have a fixed FSB, go with a higher mount. This will cowitness the irons in the lower 1/3 and make the FSB less of a distraction.

Can't go wrong with the LaRue

Eotech 553 solved all my problems.
