My Brother-in-law's AR is set up with a 16" barrel and a fixed A2 type stock.  He asked me over the holiday if he could switch to a collapsing M4 style stock.  Does this switch require a tube/spring swap?

Thanks,
E

Yes,  You usually get all that stuff when you buy the new stock.  He'll need a CAR stock wrench though.

You may also want to look at the CTR from magpull. If you are going to get a mil speck buffer tube. The CTR will lock up much better and less rattle. Better check weld. And No much more than a std. M4 stock. Something to think about.
