Is there any for sure ways to determine who's upper may be on this AR I just bought? - Was told it was a factory rifle - RRA says it was shipped as a stripped lower - Huh - wouldn't you know it. - Anyway - I have a little room in it, and may want to sell the upper.
It's T-marked, nonM4, 16" 1/9 twist, appears to be very low used, if any, and has remvble. FH.

I will post a pic this evening, but for now - Am trying to find out what model it is before I put it on the EE

What are some tell tell signs.

On the top of the barrel towards the handgaurds it simply says 5.56 1/9  or maybe its 1:9

Not sure of forging marks - will check later this eve.

Its not cast.

Does the receiver have a really purplish color?

The only bbl markings on an RRA bbl would be directly over the chamber.  Te two different coding styles we've used are described in detail in a tacked thread inthe RRA Industry Forum.  It wouldn't have any marings up front.

"Does the receiver have a really purplish color?"

mmmm... No, it's more of a matte than the brighter purply ones I think your describing.
