Watch him at 55 seconds after first reload. Looks like he winds something right after putting clip in. Then almost looks like he puts something down on ledge right after. What is he doing there?

clip

If that doesnt come up just search youtube for blackwater iraq sniper

before that.

- Drops clip
- grabs clip
- inserts clip
- looks to wind something on left side of receiver
- looks to put something on ledge
- then he adjusts scope

He's adjusting the scope.

No about 6 seconds before that(at the 55 second mark). He inserts a new mag and then it looks like he winds something and sets it on the ledge in front of him  and Then he adjusts the scope. I think he wants to know what he is winding or fiddling with just before the scope adjust

So are we talking about the M1 Garand or the AR15? Because I know damn for sure the AR15 doesn't use clips. It uses Magazines.

He was pushing in the button of the bolt catch to release the bolt into battery.  He may have used a slapping motion of the thumb.  Lots of shadow on that side of the rifle but that's about all he could be doing.  Hand is blocking view so can't tell what he was doing around the front handguard or ledge.  Maybe moving something he thought might affect his rifle's rest on the ledge?

He is depressing the bolt release. Looks like he tried to  push it, missed, then tried it again.

+1, he then reaches for his handguard, doesn't find it comfortable and goes back to buttstock.  He's a member of this board, named SIMPLYDYNAMIC.
