I have heard that Colt will not be selling their rifles to civilians for another 5-8 months. Is this true? Also, does anyone know where I can locate a NIB Colt LE6920 at this current time? Thanks.

They're hoping by that time, their Dem buddies will have taken Congress and passed a new AWB so they never have to sell their goodies to the proles.

Technically, they don't sell the LE models to civilians now. They sell to LE dealers who choose to sell them to civilians, evn though Colt doesn't want them to.

The only problem I have with Colt is the fact that Colt has snubbed the civilian firearms market; electing to do business only with military and law enforcement agencies only.

It is not that Colt does not make a very good product; or, cannot produce products that the civilian market is not interested in, example, the LE 1020 gas piston AR15 / M4 carbine that was announced and highly touted at the 206 SHOT Show.

Colt just has this Fuc* You attitude to the civilian market; and as we all know, attitude can be everything!

Colt AR 15 rifles and carbine sales to the civilian gun buying public; I will see it when I see it, if I live so long!  Hea, right, right long with the HK 416!  Hey, I go some beachfront property in Wyoming if you are interested!

Sheesh.  I am a civilian and I have a 6920 in my safe right now.  Getting a second Colt shortly.

They are in high demand, and Colt only batch makes the 6920 etc. series, but a recent batch came out.  Try SAW, Knesek, Clyde Armory.

I don't know where these rumors come from. For example, I wanted a Colt sp1 went out and got one. Next, I want a 6520, got that one also. Last, wanted a 6920 when I saw one at the dealer-guess what got it also. Where is the problem with civilians getting these guns. I am no different than any other. If colt is so anti civilian why can I get one so easily.

Colt LMT just has this Fuc* You attitude to the civilian market; and as we all know, attitude can be everything!

The LMT thing is just to show how silly this is

seriously, that is an age old urban myth, perpetuated by the WWW

and for the record Colt doesn't sell guns to anyone. Not Law Enforcement or civilian

They sell to distributors, who can do whatever the hell they want

LMT makes great stuff as does Colt. Its just that is has become fashionable to bash Colt

MP5 -No one sees youas the bad guy here, ........... as many have heard this BS so many times, they accept it as fact.

I get so sick of this topic it makes me want to puke. If Colt had quit selling ARs to the public when this rumor first started there wouldn't be a Colt AR to be had anywhere.

Colt makes all there LE and civilan models in batches.  This has being going on for years, if not decades.  Why is this concept so hard to grasp?
