[ARCHIVED THREAD] - mags dropping

Do your guys mags drop free.. Mine are reall tight.. olympic arm lower.. cryo finish.. I am thinking about grabbing some 400 wet/dry and removing some material from the mag well.. The mags are prebad steal GI 30 rounders..

Not sure that there are any preban GI steel mags, since GI mags were aluminum until the HK mags came around, which was post ban IIRC.
As for not dropping free, it might be that the Oly receiver is out of spec (which has been known to happen) or that your somewhat questionable mags are out of spec (which might be more likely actually). It could be a combination of both.

I was trying to be diplomatic.
There might be some (Sendra, etc) that are worse, but you would have to look for them.

There are no USGI Steel magazines that were made prior to HK's magazine. Even those were initially bought as COTs items.
