You know how it is, you've got loads of 'real' work to do, but still manage to find time to do the completely unimportant jobs..... unimportant job finished today after lots of paint and masking tape!

That's UK ingenuity! Self loaders (except .22s) were banned here in 1987, so our ARs have no gas port to make them single shot. This one's modified to add a charging handle on the side, rather than using the original rear charging handle... It's my Highpower rifle and with the side handle I have no problem with the rapid fire stages.

that's a charging handle because in UK they cant own semiauto guns

Thanks!

Yep - masking tape is the extent of my artistic skills! Good job there are no curves on the flag!

I was wondering why you painted the Union Jack on your butt. I didn't see that you were from G.B. until the charging handle was mentioned.

Looks like you have some talent, nice job.

The Union Jack looks good.  I have to admit bias towards the Stars and Stripes, but I still like it.

Yes, very patriotic.  Too bad the assclowns in your gov't only let you have a single shot straight-pull.

Nice!  Now you need some handguards to match!

I though about doing the handguards as well, but didn't think it'd be very easy to sand the coats between spraying... I've got a spare set, so I'll probably give it a go though...

Some Texas ARs:

Not smooth, rough for position shooting.
