I handled a complete JP rifle the other day and the fit an finish was the best I have ever seen.

The price was the highest I have ever seen also...$3100 for an AR...

I am sure the machining and craftsmanship is there.  Has anyone ever shot, held or does anyone own one that can comment on the JP product?

JP's are all accurate, all pretty. Reliabillity depends on how the user sets the rifle up. They can easily be made 100% by choosing the right BCG & gas setting or they can be finicky with a different BCG & gas setting but w/ no recoil or reticle movement. You have to figure out what you want it to do.

Worth the money? I do not know, it is your money. I have one that was worth my money and I have been pleased with it.

JPs are sweet.  just set them up and you are ready to go.  Never seen a rifle shoot american eagle better than a jp.

I've shot with guys that use a JP and they are "sweet".  Most are nearly 100% reliable and very accurate.  I've seen them abused, dropped and thrown down and the next stage run perfect.  I'd love to have one myself but the $$$ is too mush............even their components are expensive.

$3100?  You were getting hosed.  Their CTR-02 (i.e. their top of the line rifle with all the bells and whistles, hard case, etc.) is $2395 from them.  From there, drop a scope on it and you're done.

I have 2 JP rifles and will never give them up!

Does JP "matte grey" and "OD" match Magpul "foliage" (new) and "OD", respectively?

Probably not.  But then, does it REALLY matter?
