Dear ARFCommers!

On my bolt there are only SIX lugs - discounting the one at the Extractor!

The one, where the Ejector sits, looks like its "shaven" or "sheared" off!

How many Lugs should be on a AR ( RRA ) bolt??

6 + 1 on Extractor? Or more?

Thanks in advance, H

Those Pics are OUTSTANDING!

I made MUCH worse ones!

In the meantime I cleared the issue, with the Dealer who assembled my gun ( RRA 16" Middy, Chromed bore and chamber, RRA Trigger ( GOOD!! ), green furniture - 600 rds and NO PROBLEM ).

Becuase of legal issues in my home country, and to prevent an original "EVIL" M 16 bolt to be used ( are those fools, aren´t they??? ) ONE LUG is removed, as its place in the barrel extension is blocked wit a steel pin.

A LOT of work! And its MUCH easier to remove one lug ...

Also: I understand about auto sears, 3 pos lever, eventually M 16 BC, but THE BOLT???

Anyway, my dealer told me, they even had the pressures and forces working at the only 6 lugs calculated, and there should be no problem.

I hope a kind friend will post the ( bad ) pics.

Sorry if I disturbed anybody, I was really upset and trusted ARFCom more than to call my dealer ( which I only called to ask how quick I could get a replacement bolt )

Thanks to all, H

Thanks, Quib for offering help!

My pics were very, very bad - from a cellular phone ...

As the matter is clear now, its just ( stupid - as always ) Government regulations, I would say, lets close this thread - I have no gun related problem, and I won´t be able to use an evil M 16 bolt ( I would have to ....... )

Although I am from Austria, I am some hours away from Venice!

Anyway, perhaps somebody from Italy ( or wherever in Europe ) might need help, have problems with ~ silly L..s, we should stick together!

Gents, be glad there are AR Lovers in Europe, that we are allowed to own them and shoot them, and for the dealers out there: there IS an AR and AR accessories market in Europe!

Thanks to all for their help, Hermann
