Hi, I need to identify 2 uppers and try to put a value on them. Hoping for some help, as I'm clueless. I googled a bit but couldn't find any resources to help me. First up is a 20" A1 style upper. - triangle handguards - barrel marked CMP 5.56 nato 1/7 - barrel profile skinny under handguards (is that called govt profile?) - front sight tower has a C on the right side near the top. - There is also a bell-looking mark on the right side of the gas tube area at the front sight tower. - Has bayo lug and a flash suppressor with no slots on top. It's not on perfectly straight. A2 installed upside down? - Uppper receiver has P and M marks on right side. - Does have a forward assist but no brass deflector. Number 2 is an A1-style with 24" barrel and floated aluminum handguard - barrel marked only 5.56 - barrel is same diameter under the handguards. - Has a flash suppressor with slots all around - Has a bayo lug - No markings on right side sight tower. - Left side sight tower has an M looking mark. - Upper has forward assist, no brass deflector. - Upper receiver has L and M markings. I bought these uppers as a package deal with an Oly stop sign lower receiver. I was lead to believe the 24" upper and the Oly lower were purchased as a complete rifle and the 20" upper was purchased seperately. Any help identifying these pieces? Thanks! |

these sound like "put togethers" and not factory. first upper-Colt gov profile 5.56 1/7 twist, A1 barrels were 1/12 twist sounds like f/h is upside down, probably a colt sight tower upper receiver is Colt M16A1 2nd upper-another Colt M16A1, unsure of sight tower, barrel ect. Mike |
