| Well, I finally took my new build out the other day to test it out. Right off the bat I was having problems with it. The rifle would fail to feed every other round. The round was getting hemmed up on the feed ramp prior to entering the chamber. Upon closer inspection, I found that the left round in the magazine was consistently not feeding. After getting the rifle home and closely inspecting it, I found a very small burr was the culprit. After just a small amount of filing, I took the rifle back to the range and ran 150 rounds through it without a problem. I don’t know if this has ever happened to anyone else, but though I would pass the info on. It was interesting that the small tiny burr made the rifle totally inoperable! |
if it's a chrome lined chamber and you had to file a burr down and you took the chrome off at that part, I would of sent it back |

A bur in the chamber stopped feeding.... but only from one side? Uhhhh.... I dont think so. A burr on the left feedramp? Ok, I will buy that. If you filed a chrome lined chamber, it is damaged. Feedramps and bolt lug area will be fine. And posting a manufacturer, when *asked*... will never get you flamed. It is only when someone comes out in the first post bitching about a company, that suspicions are raised. |
Ok - you asked for it. Your post title CLEARLY states there was a burr on the chamber. Now... WHERE in this post does it specifically note that the burr was on the feedramp:
You state it was getting "hemmed" up on the feedramp, but did NOT state where you filed. The title says chamber. Sorry man, we only know what you say, not what you mean.
As my post said, filing the feedramp will be fine. |
