For my Colt LE9620, I and want to dress it up nicely. I have already decided that the scope will be an Aimpoint. So, please provide suggestions, brand names, and prices for the following accessories. Please do not get out of control (turning a $1200 rifle into a $5000 rifle or anything like that). My budget after I buy the scope is $500. 1. Quad-rail Picattanny handguard 2. Verticle Foregrip 3. Weapon Light and mount with pressure switch (preferably a Surefire) 4. Tactical Sling 5. Flip Up Sights 6. Anything else that you think is cool if there is money left. Thanks. |

You can do what you want for $500, but you'll have to be careful - you could easily blow through your budget on just the rail and weaponlight. I'd suggest YHM for both the rail and BUIS (probably best bang for the buck, and pretty good quality). For the weaponlight, unless you are into serious night ops (with real people shooting real bullets at you), I'd go with one of the Surefire G2 combinations available on the EE. The sling and VFG are pretty much personal taste, and neither should cost you much. Have fun! |

You need a mount with the Aimpoint. Buy LaRue. If you buy both on EE, you may save money. (I have bought an ML2 and a LaRue mount for $350, together.) May I suggest a sling (Vickers 2 point is the rage these days, perhaps for good reason) and a good three-day class. Then decide what, if anything other than a light, you need to buy and how best to mount it. Training is more important than gear. |
You will seldom get better advise. Everything posted is spot on 100% |
