I need a charging handle to complete a build. My question is what is the differance between a high dollar one and one that is on the less exspensive side? I just want one that works reliable. I don't want one that will break, I don't what justifies the prices. Can you tell me? |
Basically, there are extruded and forged. Forged is more money. Forged flex less and is what Colt, RRA, Bushy, FN use. PKFirearms.com - Charging Handles I've got both. Brett |

I just switched out two 'standard' charging handles, one was a CMT and other was RRA, with PRI gas buster charging handles. I did not make the switch because I felt I really needed them due to gas blowback, it was really because they are of better quality and design. My PRI charging handles flex much less and are much more sturdy, i'm glad I spent the extra money and went this route. Go with PRI gas busters, don't look back and don't listen to those nay-sayers who ramble on about how they are only needed for silenced rifles or that the standard charging handles are just as good. |

I haven't seen it often, but I have seen some inexpensive handles bend. The difference in price between a cheapo and a good on is minimal. For me, its hard to justify "saving" so little money. What a coincidence! |
