| Hello people - This may not be news to many of you but it was new to me. An old Marine Corps buddy told me to look at this site. He's working for one of our Government Agencies and my guess is that he has one of these. It is the Ares system M16. Go to www.aresdefense.com and click on the FAQ section. The ARES belt-fed “Strike” is just a concept that has been in development for years. I very strongly suggest that you do not hold your breath in ever seeing or purchasing one. ARES is another one of those companies that keeps promising over the years, the famous “the check is in the mail” offering. I did have the opportunity to see and physically examine on e several years ago at the 2004 and 2005 SHOT shows; it looked great and it is a very interesting concept. However, AREAS was not at the 2006 SHOT show and no-one seems to know for sure the current status of the “Strike.” Most people, like myself, have just given up and moved on. I do feel very sorry for those people that paid ARES a $5,000 deposit for a STRIKE. I hope they got their money back! |
