[ARCHIVED THREAD] - How does the AR FCG work?

Looking for some info/pictures of how the hammer is held back, spacing between the pins, etc

found out how it works, trigger holds the hammer. I still need the pin spacing. How far the hammer pin is from the trigger pin?

Use the information button at the upper left to go to the manuals and downloads and look at the AR Blueprint listed near the bottom oof that page.

Also the disconnector holds the hammer after firing untill the trigger is let loose and moves far enough for the trigger to catch the hammer.

Good advice. Also download FM23-9 (or is it 3.23-9 now?) one of the chapters in there explains the firing cylce and how the component interact (complete with diagrams).
