Maybe it's because he takes awesome pics like Ichiro Nagata or because he helps a newb like me with my multitude of questions but I know I'm not the only one that thinks Stick's pictures rock. So, everyone post your favorite Stick pic that you have. Also, I'm curious as to which of his numerous configurations of AR he is currently running right now. Post away! |
Are you accentuating that we would come to a public forum and purposely steal Stickmans pics by saving them to our harddrive and then carelessly re-post them without his permission? ![]() I'll see what I got J/k... I would never re-post someones pic without their permission. I feel it's just common courtesy to ask the owners permission first. |
| My bad and I apologize to Stick if he does not wish people to use his pics. I know I use his pics as a reference as possible modifications for my own AR. I'm not sure if I am the only one. Some people might see it as a sign of flattery or admiration. Others might not. |
I'm here for you. New DD 7.0 LITE Rail thread (Review and pics) CTR Stock thread (Review and pics) |
Glad you like the threads! I'll IM you a picture of my duty pig if I can find a current one. Yes, we will carry the CTR, as well as the UBR (when it is ready). |
I'm working on it, but I'm staying busy with a few other projects right now. I'm still sitting on 455 weapon pictures in Imageshack, and that doesn't include the 300 or so that I've deleted in the past month. Nor does it include the couple hundred older weapon pics uploaded to a different server. I also figure that for every picture posted, I have 30-50 out of the same series that are sitting in high resolution on my harddrive that won't be posted . |
| Just point them here and they'll get more opinions then they would know what to do with. But then you might have to get like a beret and snap your fingers...and grow one of those froo froo mustaches and go by the name Pierre or something. Nevermind about that. Just keep taking those sweet pics and building equally sweet guns. |
Stick, Your photo skills are second to none. Everytime I see yiur photos, I think, "that looks like a photo I'd see in a Surefire catalog!" I'm really looking forward to your review of the DD 12.0" Lite rail Take care. Justin |
I need to get those pictures done for you, I have it assembled sitting in the other room.... ETA- Do you want it with a Magpul stock, or a standard A2 stock in the pic? |
who the heck is "ichiro nagata"? +1 on mr stickman's pics and advice being tops! dont think i have seen a crappy pic posted by him... |
Looks good from this side, but we must have multiple angles to be completely subjective...(or is that suggestive?) LOL |

Stickman's photos are legendary all right. May be the most significant contribution has been to elevate everyone else's gun pix. A few years ago, gun pix posted here were pretty basic (with a few exceptions) and commonly featured toes, background clutter, and distance shots that made it tough to make out a gun's features. Now, I think a lot of proud AR owners wanting to share their pix, will work a little harder, and will think of Stickman's methods when taking and posting their photos. It has risen the value of the site to have 'Madison Avenue quality' AR pix |
A2 |
I don't pay much attention to the pics that other photographers do, but Nagata seems to have a nice style. I haven't seen much of his work, but I don't go looking for it either. I try to keep my ideas as my own, and I don't want to fall into the trap of using someone elses themes. It might now matter much on a board, but when pictures end up other places, its nice to know they are your own and not influenced by anyone else. |
