I have a full length KAC RAS (non FF).  I have narrowed my uppers to buy down to 3 and would like to be able to use the KAC.  I am not sure about the KAC fitting the barrel profiles--any experience?

My choices:
18" rifle length med contour CMMG
20" HBAR fluted from Bushmaster
20" govt profile from CMMG

Thank you for your time!

If you are talking about the M5 I am sure it will fit all of those but not sure.

I think it is the M5 if that is non FF.

In the picture thread, the airsoft rifle posted on the last page has an M5, it is non free floating. I know for a fact it will fit on a govt. profile barrel.

Shouldn't have any prob.  I had an M5 on my Bushy HBAR.

As long as it is a rifle length gas system and not a bull barrel I think you will have no problems.

Thanks

I hate to order one up and have a problem.  Railed forearm is almost as much as the barrel

Are there specs anywhere for the KAC?

I dont know about specs but there are alot of other good rails out there for cheaper and perform just as well. The M5 is realy designed more so for an M203 to be easily mounted to the rifle. If I were to build a 20" rifle I think I might go with a different rail unless I was trying to make it an A4 clone. Not to take away from the KAC as that is what I have on my M4 and I love it but there are other options out there.

THE KAC M5 RAS WILL ONLY WORK WITH BARRELS THAT ARE 0.835" - 0.855" JUST AFT OF THE FRONT SIGHT TOWER.

CONFIRM THAT CRITICAL DIMENSION BEFORE YOU PURCHASE.

I have a M4 RAS on my 16" HBAR, it takes a little persuading to get on/off but it fits fine with no modifications.  The only advice I can give is to make sure its exactly centered left and right when installing it, otherwise you'll chew up your D-ring trying to get it on.  I don't know about the rifle length one but I can't imagine that it would be any different.

My KAC RAS (full length) fits fine with the thick barrel on my Colt Match H-BAR, if that is any help.
