I have a full length KAC RAS (non FF). I have narrowed my uppers to buy down to 3 and would like to be able to use the KAC. I am not sure about the KAC fitting the barrel profiles--any experience? My choices: 18" rifle length med contour CMMG 20" HBAR fluted from Bushmaster 20" govt profile from CMMG Thank you for your time! |
| I dont know about specs but there are alot of other good rails out there for cheaper and perform just as well. The M5 is realy designed more so for an M203 to be easily mounted to the rifle. If I were to build a 20" rifle I think I might go with a different rail unless I was trying to make it an A4 clone. Not to take away from the KAC as that is what I have on my M4 and I love it but there are other options out there. |
| I have a M4 RAS on my 16" HBAR, it takes a little persuading to get on/off but it fits fine with no modifications. The only advice I can give is to make sure its exactly centered left and right when installing it, otherwise you'll chew up your D-ring trying to get it on. I don't know about the rifle length one but I can't imagine that it would be any different. |
