I'm just wondering.  Will the LE 6920 become harder and harder to find on the market.  Or will the supply of these rifles increase as distributers get new shipments...will they get new shipments???

The way I am understanding this at the moment...is that dealers will get shipments of these rifles that are quickly sold...Then the supply drops off for some time until Colt sends more out.  (After taking care of their military contracts)

I'm asking because I would really like to purchase one of these rifles but I don't really know if I should wait too long.  If the supply is not going to be replenished..then I would like to know so I can find one asap.

6920's are not in production at this time, which is why they are hard to get a hold of (limited supply).  After 3rd Q 06, they will be back in production, at which point there will be plenty available.  Its worth the wait.

Get on a waiting list with a reputable Colt LE dealer. Clyde Armory and Knesek Guns come to mind. You'll get it eventually.

And yes, it's worth it.

There's a NIB 6920 in the EE right now

Thats a rarity, and beats a 2-3 month wait.

What makes the 6920 superior?

Most will say the M4 feed ramps are the greatest benefit, as well as the FA bolt.

Tighter tolerances for the parts as well.  I can feel the difference between my Colt and my Bushmaster in regards to how the parts move fit together and function.  Both are good guns but my Colt feels just a bit nicer in almost every regard.

The 6920 also has the heavy buffer.

They hold value a lot better also.. I would rather spend $1200.00 on a Colt than spend $1000.00 on another brand just to resell it a couple of years down the road for $650.00 at least the Colt has the potential to hold at $1200.00 over a couple of years and plus there is the magnetic partical testing also which other companies do not always use...
