Let me start off by saying that I really like this rifle. I had some problems with it at first but i think everything will iron out. Yesterday I took "her" to the range with 2 /30 round and 1 /5 round loaded mags. These were my handloads loaded to 1 grain under max per .223 loading data, not .556 data. 64 gr. Win. PP bullets with new Win. cases and Win. powder. Sorry, left the crony home as this was mostly a functiion test. Of the 65 rounds fired I had one FTF which could have been my fault as I don't think I had the mag all the way home. Oh, and I had the bullets loaded out to magazine length. The only other glitch was on the very last 65th shot, the bolt didn't lock back. All in all the gun was flawless. As for accuracy, well, again this was more of a function test and the wind was blowing pretty good at the range but I did fire a few groups but mostly just busted rocks. My first 3 shots went into a dime at 100 yards. All shooting was dont at 100 yards. I have attached a copy of my very last 6 shots. It measures 1 and 1/8 inch center to center. This group was fired at no more than 2 seconds between shots. I wanted to get it in before the wind picked up again LOL. I don't think it is too bad considering the rapid fire and warm barrel. Discount the 3 shots marked in red these were fired before final adjustment on the scope (6.5X20 Leupold). Just thought I would report back with this updated info for anybody who might want it. Being as how "she's" growing on me I thought I would dress her up in case I ever have to take her to a dance so I ordered some flip up sights from Bushmaster. They will be here Monday. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to go to the range again nowhttp://img459.imageshack.us/img459/4536/predatortargete5uj.png |
