I have a 16" BM flat top, Patrolman  and just ordered a rear flip up sight from BM, part # YHM-9440.  Should I have any problems in the future with co-witness, when mounting an Eotech ?

I didn't know If I must install a riser rail for the Eotech, or should all sights line up using the flat-top rail ??

Any thoughts ?

Just mount the EOTech to the riser and your BUIS should co-witness just fine. I had nearly the same setup.

I just put an EOTech 512 on my Patrolman's Carbine, and it lines up precisely with the front sight.  I suspect your flip-up rear will give you an absolute co-witness (where the dot is right on the tip of the front sight blade).  This is what the EOTech is designed to do on a flat-top.

I am going to shoot mine for a while and see if I want to put a riser on it or not.

Oh, and the EOTech is a blast, BTW.

I have the same AR and it uses a shorter front sight post.  I called BM and they suggested that I order new Colt post for the co-witness. My BUIS is a GG&G Flipup model. Here is my order from BM.
