I was just wondering what the CMMG quality is like? Anyone with experience with these uppers/lowers? Was gonna get a stag upper/lower combo but saw the CMMG stuff and was just curious how they compare.

Thanks,
Ryan

IMHO, Stag is very good, but not in the same league as CMMG. CMMG offers absolutely top-notch products, and questionably the best customer service in the industry. They have a large and dedicated following on this site. Buy with confidence!

Thanks for the input and its good to know their customer service is that good. I was just curious b/c the cmmg was a little more expensive than the stag but if its worth the extra money I have no problem paying for it.

I ordered a CMMG upper about 2 weeks ago and I think the quality is on par with every other major manufacturer.  Its really good stuff!  I really love my 14.7 inch barrel with the permanently attached A2 flash hider and am going to order another.  I cant comment on the accuracy at great distance as of yet because I have only took it to the range once since I got it and I didn’t have time to sight it in properly. I did have time to sight my Eotech in at 25 yards and it was dead accurate!

CMT/ Stag is making a top quality product, HOWEVER, CMMG is filling in the areas where CMT/Stag has no interest.  The 14.7 is a great example.

If you are looking for a basic M4, the CMT/ Stag is a hard product to beat (both in quality and price).

I received my 14.5"+ Phantom complete upper from CMMG last week. Fit and finsih is great. Put it on my Ameetec lower, but haven't been able to take it out and play with it yet as it is ungodly hot out here in the Land of Az! I also have a 14.5 middy on back order from CMMG too!

How good would the CMMG finish on their lower match a Stag upper?

Anybody have feedback on CMMGs pinning of FHs?

Quality of work? Turn around time?

similar to topic, but sorry to hijack

I specifically asked that question directly to one of the guys as CMMG when I ordered my upper.  CMMG told me that they used to pin/weld and refinish their flash hiders to where you could not even tell it had been done.  They said this of course did not sit well with the ATF so now they insure a small blemish on the bottom of the flash hider.  Mine does not look ungodly in the slightest but you can tell where at was welded. Not a big deal though in my book.  Sorry, I don’t know their turn around time.
