I'm thinking of buying a Bushmaster 20" A3 .223 Carbine from AIM.  Any opinions on Bushmaster? Will it handle both .223 and 5.56? Or is their a better AR-15 in this price range?  Thanks in advance from a newbe!

Bushmaster uses the 5.56 chamber so will shoot both kinds of ammo just fine. The Bushmaster has a fully chrome lined chamber and bore and uses 4150 steel on their barrel. The truth is there is a lot of fine choices for AR enthuiasts right now, and there are plenty of good guns in that price range you ciould choose from. But the Bushmaster is a fine rifle, and I wouldnt try to steer you elsewhere.

In terms of value for money for a complete factory rifles, Bushmaster and RRA are good bets.  But there are LOTS of other high-quality manufacturers out there these days, obviously including Colt, Armalite, CMMG, etc.

I think most shooters would agree that Bushmaster makes great guns.

And as far as comparing Bushmaster to Rock River, DPMS, or Colt, well that will just start an argument,
because they are all top of the line manufactures with very loyal followers.

So get the Bushmaster, you won't be sorry,
plus Aim Surplus is a good company to deal with.
Whenever I have money, I love buying stuff from them.

Both my Bushmaster barrels chew up Wolf ammo like a fat body with burgers/fries at McDonald's.

2 bushmaster carbines at last weeks gunshow, one for 699, the other was 750, i believe they were both new. bushmaster makes a great rifle. the XM15E2S HBAR i have is a tackdriver, but heavy, that's why i have 2 carbines for fun.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy a Bushy. We here at ARFCOM would highly recomend that you buy one of each. If not two of each

I've got the 20" A2 version...I love it, the only thing is I wish it was the A3! You'll love it...it's a really nice rifle, and very accurate....take care of it, and it'll take care of you. Good-Luck.!
