I threw away my stock barrel and had Steve at ADCO install a White Oak Armaments barrel. If you really want to get serious about precision, then you'll probably want something even more fancy than that - like Douglass, Pac-Nor, Noveske, etc. You'll definitely want a better trigger. Some people like the relatively cheap RRA two-stage trigger, or you can spend a lot more on other options - like the Geissele trigger, and other more traditional tw-stage triggers. In terms of stocks, the Magpul PRS stock is rapidly becoming popular, and is nicely adjustable, so that is certainly an option to consider. Be careful - because this is one of those things that can just suck down your money like a black hole! ![]() |
+1....if you want it to be so super -accurate, better bring a BIG check book.... what is your budget? are you looking for varmiter look or a military type look, etc? |

I'm using a Krieger barrel from Compass Lake and a JP single stage trigger. The only barrel I personally will use is a Krieger if I'm making a precision rifle. To each their own. Ford or Chevy...... Accuracy is like speed. Accuracy costs, how accurate do you want to be? Also, to be frank I wouldnt bother with dropping loads of cash if you arent prepared to take the steps necesary on your end. Sure, its cool to have a Ferrari but if you've never taken professional driving classes you'll never push the car to its true limits. If your going to drop a wad of cash for an accurate rifle (And you WILL drop a load of cash) you might as well also invest in a good reloading manual, some dies and a press. Dont forget some targets too, and if your range isnt nicely marked out for distance a good rangefinder is a helluva bonus too but not necesary. |
