Has anybody here been to the  (M16) Small Arms Firing School at Camp Perry? I'm thinking of going to it this summer and just wanted to see how others liked it. What do you learn at the classroom portion? I've gone to the National Matches (pistols were being shot then) by accident when I went to see what Camp Perry was like(first and only AR was bought then). That was an experience never to be forgotten and hopefully the SAFS will be too. Thanks.

If your NRA Highpower classification is Expert or above, SAFS is a waste of time.  If not, it is worth it.

Or, if your wife/girlfriend isnt really into shooting, you should sign up together.  Its an excellent "beginner" course.

I've never been in any competition shoots, so I figure this will get me started. Don't have a girlfriend right now (hope to soon), so a couple frinds and me are going to it.

If you've never shot in competition, you'll love it!

Best of luck! and hold tight!
