I've been looking around for a hard case that will hold two AR carbines and I'm having trouble coming up with something that makes use of space the way I want it to.  I really want something that is aroun18" x 36" or possibly 16"x36" as I think that is about the shortest case you could get by with.

I searched SKB, Kalispel, and Pelican to no avail.

Anyone know of such an animal?

You could probably mount them side by side in this case by Starlight.

I have the 52" Double Rifle Case, But alas 'twas too large and was way more case than I needed.

Luckily, I have a trade worked out. The case for two 300 round battle packs of SA 5.56

I've found a few that are a similar size to that one.  I may have to lay out the two rifles on the floor and see what kind of area I can shove them into.  If I cut the foam I should be ok with them in pretty close to each other.

I think it's doable if the mags aren't inserted.

Starlight cases are friggen strong. I can stand on the thing and there's zero flex.

I think two should fit in a Pelican 1750.

I can fit a fixed stock Bushmaster 16" and a Beretta Storm in mine, I would think two m-4s would fit. I can check if you want.

Yes, they will.  In fact Pelican makes one with pre-cut foam for two ARs.  Unfortunately a case that long won't fit in my trunk and I need a shorter one.

I have a Pelican 1700. Its the shortest of the rifle cases they make. I am able to fit two 16" carbines in there just fine. I dont even use the center piece of foam. the rifles are held plenty secure and there's still plenty of room for mags etc...

Longest pelican case.

You searched Pelican on a search engine???
You should be able to find dozens of good links.

Maybe I'm not being clear.

I need something in the 36"-40" overall range.

The Pelican 1750 is
OUTSIDE: 53" x 17-7/16" x 6-1/16"

Neil, I think that the 1700 may just do it!  Didn't see that one on their site, but it's supposedly
38 1/8""Lx 17 13/16""Wx 6 1/8""D."

only 2" longer than what I was looking for!
