If you buy an upper in which the headspace has been checkedwith out the carrier. do you have to adjust it again when you add some other some other carrier?

It's based on the bolt and where it locks up in the barrel extension.  Bolt and barrel are all you are concerned about in the AR, the bolt carrier used shouldn't matter at all.

I think the rule is.

New barrel, new bolt - You'll be fine
Used barrel, new bolt - You're probably fine, but can't hurt to check.
Any used bolt - check it.
