[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Side Mount Sling Question

I am considering using a Side Mount Sling Swivel (like the one shown at www.rockriverarms.com/item-detail.cfm?ID=AR0161&storeid=1&image=adptrs8.gif&CFID=13262342&CFTOKEN=83710405 but have to ask a few questions.

What have you guys seen out of these mounts? Any good? Drawbacks?

Do you know of any of sources for this type of part?

I have one on my Bushmaster carbine. I like it, got it on the EE a whole lot cheaper than what RRA is asking. Keep an eye out, they show up now and then.

My Stag M4 came with one. Haven't used the damned thing once.

I'll probably just rip it off and throw it on the EE.
