After many thought's i have decided to just build my own upper, now im stuck between barrel's im stuck between Krieger's 20" Heavy SS (.750") Contour, Douglas 18" True Special Purpose Rifle (SPR), 1x8 Twist, Chrome-Moly http://www.fulton-armory.com/M6Parts3.htm#UpperParts Those 2 can be found on Fulton's Site and Noveske's 18 inch SS SPR barrel in 1/7 Im going for the best quality i can get so money isnt much of an option,i realy am opting for the krieger or the noveske but im not leaving the douglas out by no means. im open for more barrel option's if you guy's have an opinion on better barrel option's witch would superseed these. Lemme know your opinion's on the barrel's -Troy |
Anyone what? You aren't giving people enough time to answer your questions, and you are posting it in the General section, instead of the section that says barrels..... You may want to read up or do a search and see what barrels people are using and why they are using them. There are no doubt questions you haven't thought of to ask, and reading ahead may find you getting a better weapon overall. Whats your version of medium to long range? What ammo do you plan on shooting? |

Sorry for being so hasty, Around 300 with 600 would be the maxium i would most likely have to shoot at but would be very rarely, i just want the added option to strike at something further away with more accuracy ( i know no ones going to get sub moa group's at 600). i have searcheed the board's for krieger and have yet to find anything, unless i am doing something wrong -Troy |

I would go with the Noveske (Pac-Nor Super Match) barrel. They will average 5 shots at 100 yards in the 3's all day long......every one of them. That's an AVERAGE group, not the one's you hand pick to show your friends. I would slow that twist down a bit though. 1/7 is really too fast for anything but 80+ grains bullets. A Hornady 75gr A-Max will stabalize in a 1/9 twist barrel. You will get your best consistent accuracy running the slowest twist that will stabalize the bullet. Tony Rumore Tromix Corp |
