I'm ordering a Model one sales varmint upper- Whats better stainless or chrome molly? 223 or 5.56 chamber? 1-8 or 1-9 twist....

I would go with a SS 1-8 5.56, but thats just me.

since its a varmiter, SS; 5.56 for wider varity of ammo choices; 1-8 for heavier loads

I recently got one of those in 16" (free floated/fluted), and it seems to shoot pretty well (at least as well as I can shoot it
