Why does a Colt 6920 weigh 5.95lbs

and a Bushmaster Patrolman's Carbine weigh 6.8lbs

I didn't include the RRA Entry because of the weight difference of the carry handles.

Why does one 16" m4 cut weight that much more?

What am I missing?

Thanks

Colt probally has a half-round BC, where as the Bushy has one that is cut back. Heavier buffer in the bushy?

Colt likes to screw the consumer market so it's probally made with half-assed workmanship.

Although I'm not a Bushmaster or Colt fan by any means, I would get the Bushmaster.

weights come from the respective web sites:

Colt:

www.colt.com/law/lecarbine.asp

Bushmaster:

www.bushmaster.com/le/weapons/bushmaster_xm15_e2s_patrolman_16.htm

Trying to compare apples to apples.
