I began shooting at age 9 and haven't had this much fun in a long time......purchased the S&W M&P15 about two weeks ago.....got the 15T Friday.  15 has aftermarket rail and grip installed.  Waiting on some more "stuff." Hope to learn from this site and maybe build an AR this summer.   http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f230/aj3z/SWMPs010.jpg

Greetings! Would like to hear more of your impressions on the S&W's. Especially after you break in the barrels.

Welcome,  I see you are off to a good start.

Good looking AR's,   look forward to a range report when you get to take them out.

If you want to build your own there is some Great Information on this site.

Nice guns you just got.

Congrats.

My father is now 78 y/o and he has a Colt 7.62X39mm AR carbine since '91 but he is now building a Rock River Arms 9mm carbine which he plans to convert legally to a SBR this year.

I'm interested in getting a S&W AR also later on to add to my collection.

There has been alot of talk about the S&W's being overpriced. I would be curios what you actually paid. Care to tell us?

BTW welcome

Will make up a couple of slings per instructions elsewhere on this board.........EOTech for the 15....flip up S&W rear sight for 15........vertical grip and offset light mount for 15.......another G2.........maybe a couple of .25 inch risers to get the EOTechs up just a bit.   Then gain some experience ...........and who knows?    I have a son, USCG, MSST, who will probably advise when I see him.
