I read a post about verifying a Bushmaster barrel. The markings described match exactly the markings on my barrel. Here is the article on verifying a Bushmaster barrel. Scroll down near the bottom of the page. How can I check to see if the upper and barrel on my Colt H-Bar is a Colt upper and barrel? Jim |

The links above are likely to hold the answer, but the simple method is "what are the markings on the top of the barrel forward the FSB?" Colt markings include a "C" (usually begin with the "C") as for the upper, that is a bit more difficult since Colt uppers are knownn to have many different forge marks.........but "what marks does yours have?" |

Thanks for the links. It is a Colt barrel. It is marked C MP 5.56 NATO 1/9 HBAR The upper has a C and what looks like a combination of the letters A&F above the forward assist. Thanks for all the help. After reading that article on Bushmaster barrels I was curious. Jim |
