Anyone have a Colt A-1 upper with rough areas in the carrying handle area? It kinda looks like flash

Yeah, that's it.......thanks for the reply.......I know it does not affect anything other than being cosmetic and isnt a big deal at all, but I was wondering if that was common with some Colt uppers. I have an Eagle A-2 that has the same deal

thats trimmed flush compared to how my lower was done. I had to add a Magpul grip to hide it.

My XM-15 Busmaster is the same way. It is a shame because they are such beautiful guns!!! It builds charater I guess

That is left over from the forging. Colt's quit cleaning that area out in about 1964.
