I'm using the one that came with my CMT CAR stock...
Seems nice. Nothing mind-blowing, but does calm recoil a bit.

I hear it's nice to have one in an SBR?

I have one in my BM 11.5" SBR not necessary IMO in semi auto.. BUT..I had one in my M16 Commando which ran about 900 rpm, switched to an H3 5.66oz. buffer... Slowed it to around 650 or so..

If you're not having any problems with your current setup, I wouldn't bother using one.

I use a 9mm one.And a heavier buffer will make a carbine smoother and less violent wich means less parts wear.Carbines operate under higher pressures than a 20".

I'm running an LMT H2 buffer in my 10.5". So far so good, I have yet to have a single weapon malfunction of any kind.

I bought 9mm buffers for my two carbine lowers. I was actually going to only use one with my 7.62x39 upper, but I ended up keeping it in for use with my midlength 5.56 uppers and bought the second for the other lower too. Maybe it's just the power of suggestion, but it does seem to smooth it out and haven't had any problems.

I am thinking of getting one on my Recce.

Anyone know a good dealer or two for a H2 buffer?

Thanks.

I disagree.  I did not ever have any problems but I still upgraded to a H2.  There is no reason not to and couple reasons why you should.
