I got one on my 14.5 to avoid the whole NFA thing, and 'cause I think 16 inch M4's look goofy. The FS looks badass, that I know. It also worked well when I beat a couple people with it in this dream I had. YMMV on that note, of course, since it was in my head. And many things happen in my head. |
CJ, I have to disagree (not because of your age  ) the Phantom is by far superior to the A2 in flash suppression , not to mention the "length" is a whole what...extra 1/2" give or take...I see no reason to have an A2 on any rig these days other than nostaglia. JMHO. |

Thats exactly why the phantom is on my rifle and my vortex is in my spare box! | In my research on the subject the A2 can and has caused a decrease in accuracy when used. The Phantom and Vortex do not cause an accuracy degrade. I would say there is a more noticable change going from a bare muzzle to A2 than from A2 to Phantom but its a HUGE difference. In the test above the Phantom seems better than the Vortex to me. |
