| What type of accuracy can I expect from a completed bull barrell upper receiver...Just built my first 16 inch AR still want something to play with long range....I know you guys like specifics...lets say RRA lower... basic 2 stage trigger...good factory ammo....let me know on a 16 inch and 20 inch not realy interested in a 24.... 100 yard groups out to say 600 any help you could lend me would be highly appreciated |
Too many variables to break it down, but it will be more mechanically accurate than you. |
| Not sure if this will help you but I just acquired a RRA Varmit 24" Bull upper and mounted a 4-16X target scope and a Jewell 2 stage trigger. At 100 yards using inexpensive commerical ammo, shooting numerous(10+) 5 shot groups, about 50% of the groups were under 1", the rest were under 2". A couple of 3 shot groups were .5 inch. This is shooting from a bench rest with sand bags. |
Exactly right. I'm happy to say that I've owned many that were more accurate than me... LOL. I like to keep them that way, but within $$ reason. MANY a High Power match (including Camp Perry) have been won with virtually "out of the box" rifles. As someone else here ie: Will a new $450.00 bbl improve my scores by subtracting 1/4 inch from my groups ?? ONLY if that is the limiting factor |
