  16" mid length pencil profile. Chopped Troy Alpha 13" rail. Police surplus Bushmaster lower. This picture is from right after I put the upper together. Currently it just has a Sig red dot on it. It shoots really well so far. I feel like it needs some better optics. Maybe an Aimpoint PRO? LPVO? |

| I have midlengths from 16", 14.5", 13.5" down to 12.5" and they all have reduced gas ports. 100% suppressed and run like champs. The whole more gas is better baffles me. I use H or H1 buffers for a soft recoil impulse. Less gas used to run the bolt so it stays cleaner than having a larger gas port and more gas to cycle an H2 or H3 buffer. My only carbine gas is an 11.5" with an OC Polonium and even with a reduced gas port it still needs an H2 to tame it. All the gas ports are .050" vented set screws. I tune by buffer weight with a small gas port vs starting with a heavy buffer and tuning gas port to run it. |

This rifle reminds me of the first time my wife and I went to Glacier National Park. We were heading to Kalispell one day and stopped over at Sonju/SI Defense, which was about to rebrand under Falkor. I got to meet one of the marketing guys there and he showed me a fully ambidextrous rifle with custom anodize that was in different shades, and appeared sort of like a Damascus pattern. Is that what's going on here, Stick? It looks good. |

Is that what's going on here, Stick? It looks good. Negative ghost rider, its hydrodipped. I agree and think its a sharp looking setup. This pattern is called "Desert Viper" IIRC. I'm looking forward to a green variant for one of my ARs also.   |

I remember reading about one of your talks with John and the topic of "if you could only have one." I believe John mentioned a 12.5" gun because it was still a good combo of velocity and compactness. Sounds like an opportunity to build a mini-recce
