Was it Kreiger that made the barrels for the SAM-R type rifles? Does anyone have such a thing sitting around in stock, or is it a straight-from-Kreiger sort of deal? I have a need for a better varmint upper... and a SAM R cheap sorta knock off is what Ive set my sights on. |
IIRC, Kreiger did make them. I think ADCO had or has them in stock. |

It was my understanding that the "Jejunite" A4s where as pictured with the Krieger HBAR and other modifications to be used in the SAM-R role by the Scout Sniper community, sometimes as a "spotters rifle" on Scout Sniper teams. A West Coast A4 is a govt profiled/ACOGd weapon without the modification of the SAM-R. I have seen several "West Coast" A4s sans ACOG in the hands of Marines in Iraq. I am not sure what it takes to get an ACOG, but I hope its not too much. If anyone knows more than "snippets" of the story, I would be interested in knowing more. |
