Hi there, i'm about to purchase a m4 style .223 rifle here in the u.k. i'm going to go for the a3 style upper http://www.ar15.co.uk/products.html because it's easier to add parts on thaan to take them off ( if you see what i mean ). Anyway my question is how much do you guys pay for the carry handle ? the only one i can find here is £125 / $220ish now im sure i could get one from your side of the pond alot cheaper ( including p+p ). Some prices please. Cheers in advance. |
Cheers for the offer, you have e-mail . |

I was under the impression that civilians could not own firearms in the United Kingdom. Are you buying this handle for an airsoft or a decomissioned weapon? In any event, before you buy a handle make sure you know what type of rail you have. Many rails in the EU are Weaver and not Picatinny and thus a 1913 handle bought in the States will not work on your Weaver rail in England. Armalite makes a handle for a Weaver rail, as does Diemaco. These will probably run you in the 150.00 range, probably more...buy the time you shipped it, you wouldn't really be saving much over the 220.00 Be careful shipping/recieving weapons components. With the recent tradgedy, I am sure the UK would be more than willing to crucify you for circumventing their strict weapons laws.... |
Hi Ryno It is strict here but not that strict, we can have pretty much any rifle in any caliber as long as only fires one round at a time ( except .22 rimi, which can be semi auto ) . Cheers for the tip Steve. |
interesting question: what guns can be civilian owned in todays UK? And what is required to own them? |

interesting question: what guns can be civilian owned in todays UK? And what is required to own them? If your a good boy and havent been in trouble with the cops you can apply for a firearms ticke and a shotgun ticket, home security has to be shown to the visiting officer ( rifle cabinet has to be installed ). Then if you get you tickets Shotguns must be 26" barrel or more, no more than 3 shot or it then becomes a firearm and you have to prove your shooting practical competions. Firearms, you are set a limit of what you can have i e : mine is 2 x .22lr , 1 x .223 , 1 x .38/357 1 x .308 you have to inform the police when you buy you firearm, also the person who sold you it has to inform them aswell ( serial no, addresses etc... ) You are also limited by the police as to how much ammo you can holsd at any one time. Pistols have to be revolver, minimum 12" barrel and overall length is 24" i think ( this means a steel bar being welded to the pistol grip sticking out the back to make up the length) Cant think of much more but if you have a question i'll try to answer. Steve. |
Did I miss something? why can't he own a semi ar15? |
try reading the thread, heck it barely started so there arent that many post to be reading through. man some of you are lazy

I see I mis read the last line. I thought he was saying it could be semi as long as it only fired one round at a time. As in it could not be burst or full auto. My bad, its late! Could he have a ar15 with a 22 conversion? |
