| I have a Bushmaster with "stock" (no pun intended) collapsible stock, and even at full extension, it feels too short. Besides adding a pad for extension, I am wondering if the other after-market collapsible stocks add length to the stock. I'm only looking for an additional 4-5 inches, and would appreciate any info (besides smart-assed comments regarding length) on the subject. |
| Points taken. What I'm dealing with is the uncomfortable "hunched over" feel I get when using the BUIS. I feel like I'm crowding the rear sight in order to post my target, and I'm trying to get away from that. When shooting my SKS with the Dragonov (sp?) set up, I have a longer stock, which allows me to aquire the target more effeciently, and I switch to the AR, and it just doesn't feel right. I of course realize these are two totally different weapons, but I'd like to match the feel of the longer SKS stock on my AR. |
That's what bothers me; the butt plate on my collarbone, or the hunching down. Just feels wrong. I'm used to the rifle being solid against my shoulder. I think I may be too accustomed to shooting magnums... |
