Heya,

There is an aimpoint XD for sale on a msg board, is their any difference from the modern m2?  Thanks in advance.   I searched the optic forum... nada.

PS I know this should have gone in optics, but there is more traffic in here.

yes there is a difference, battery life.  The M2 has a much much longer battery life,  30x more.
other than that they are pretty much the same sight.  If it's a real good price I would get the XD but if not I would definetly hold out for an M2

CompM XD - 3moa dot, created by shrouding a 10moa diode
CompM2 - 4moa diode and 4 moa dot, and 30x more battery life

The CompM XD will give fits to some folks with any astigmatism, The M2 less likely.

If you have no vision issues, the CompM XD is a great sight if the price is right.

Why did you change the title and why should a thread be locked just because you got your answer?  By changing the title of the thread you've made sure that anybody who comes searching for this info cannot find it and will have to ask the same question again.
