Seems that Colt has revised their position on selling LE6920s to civilians. In the past, the dealer I do business with would not sell me an LE only weapon. He sold me one the other day stating that the policy has changed. Think this any thing to do with the announcement of their IPO? Ken |
Are you sure some of the stupid ( read that: elitist, know it all dumbfuck ) dealers have finally caught up with a few of the threads here on ARFCOM and have been humiliated into finally realizing they were WRONG???? There have been a few threads on this lately and I have been especially harsh on the dealers, though OTHERS have supplied the particular facts that supported my vitrolic tantrums. I have a HUGE chip on my shoulder about gun dealers. Not all of them, many are my friends, but there is THAT GROUP of self righteous, shitbag, know it all dealers that just makes me wanna PUKE. I am hoping it is those dealers who have read these posts and I hope they hate me for what I have said. I love being hated for the truth. Ahh, what a nice day..... ![]() OH ETA: I AM very glad you WERE able to get your LE 6920!!!! Is it NOT a gorgeous piece????? Enjoy it!!!! You certainly earned it! |

I don't know what the reasons were; just glad it happened. About the same time that Colt decided they wanted to make some money, Bushmaster, on their site decided to stop calling their M4 style, 16" with A2 suppressor a Policeman's carbine. Their catalog still refers to it as "Policeman's Carbine". You're right about the looks. As tools go, it is some piece! Ken |

second or third hand info... but, a member here posted a couple days ago that Colt Customer Service representative (in a call to Colt) said they no longer object or prohibit the sale of previously LEO weapons That said, it never has been a problem getting them. There are a half dozen well known dealers, and another gaggle of individual owners offering them in the AR15.com Equipment Exchange on any given day |
