Anybody have any experience with this particular hand guard? I'm having some stringing problems and I've narrowed it down to my GG&G forearm. (I think) When I replace the GG&G with an aluminum tube the stringing goes away. Any help would be appreciated.

Doesn't the GG&G free-float the barrel? If it does then I doubt the handguard is causing any stringing problems.

The GG&G does free float the barrel but it clamps to the existing barrel nut. That's the only thing I can figure for the problem. It doesn't matter if the barrel is clean or dirty. First shot is 2" low and left of the fifth with the rest in between on a straight 1:30 line. After that it's sub MOA POA!
Can I have the barrel nut torqued too much?

Not sure what you have done to narrow it down, but it sounds like a bad barrel to me. What brand and how much use is the barrel itself?

That's what I thought when I first put it on with my M4 contour barrel so i bought an OLY SUM 16" and it did the same thing with it. One barrel I can see but not two doing the same thing.
