Does anyone have one? If so, how do you like it? I am thinking of going with one of these on my Bushmaster M4gery, but would like some feedback from any owners out there. www.cmore.com/tactical.html From C-MORE site: "The C-MORE Tactical sight mounts to all Colt M-16 / AR-15 rifles and carbines, including the M4, that utilize a flat top upper receiver. By directly attaching to the upper receivers picatinny rail, the Tactical sight replaces the removable carry handle and also provides a replacement A3 style rear aperture sight. The Tactical promotes extremely fast target acquisition by eliminating an obstructed field of view and allowing you to shoot with both eyes open in an enhanced peripheral view, while also enabling you to retain the use of your iron sights as a back up system and for longer yardage shots."

We have a thread on this topic posted in the Optics forum. The short answer - there are better optics at lower cost. For the cost of the C-More you can get the superior Aimpoint or EOTech. |

I own the C-MORE tactical II. It has the flip up iron sight base which is manufactured by GG&G. I recently encountered big troubles with it. It has two allen head type screw mounts that are used to attach it to the picitinny rail. After removing the screws a few times the thread inserts twisted out with the screws and buggered up the threads in the base. I called the manufacturer (C-MORE) and explained my situation to them and got a big run around. After a few calls to them I found out that replacment parts arent available for them anymore. I was told by customer support that they discontinued those type of bases. I got no where with there customer support! They couldnt even supply me with the thumb nut studs and locking thumbnuts that they use on there tac model A-2 style C-MORES so I could repair the sight. Basicly they dont have replacment parts for any of there bases. I ended up using rivet nuts and new allen screws to fix the sight. It turned out pretty good in the end but after the bad experience I had with this one sight, I'll never buy another! Eotech or aimpoint is the way to go. I have several friends that use those type sights and they work great without any problems. And yes, all those stories about the C-MORES not holding zero and they are hard to get zeroed in are TRUE! Anyone considering buying a C-MORE? Do your self a favor and DONT! |
