I hate the pre-packaged survival kits.  Seems like a way to get rid of a lot of crap you will probably never need.  Also leaves out some pretty necessary stuff.  Like, where is the spare extractor?

I think you could dump the sight adjustor, punches, hammer and fancy surplus GI cleaning kit case for starters and spend the $$ in a more satisfactory manner.

A complete bolt is my #1 spare part.  It contains most of the stuff that fails or needs regular replacement. It cost less than the kit and it has a bolt and extractor not found in the kit.  A disconnector spring, firing pin (punch) cam pin and a spare extractor spring might be good.

Should be about the cost of the kit and more practical.
