Well, I finally got a new upper and it's all put together.  Kept things simple... it'll have a phantom when I get a crush washer. Pre-ban Bushmaster lower, YHM flip up BUIS, nothing very fancy... but it's mine.  Grouping from today... gun's 2nd time to the range. 50 yard with iron sights.  - BG |
*bangs head on table* Watch out for all the usual suspects: Sending the detent spring across the room Sending the buffer tube retaining pin into the light bulb Screwing the buffer tube in too far... *cough* I'm an idiot. I didn't actually put the lower parts kit in, so I can't give you any advice on that part. - BG |
It's a gun show impulse buy since an Arfcom dealer lost my backorder. (He's a great guy, just an "oops") I have my reasons for believing that it is a Del-Ton... When I whip the handguards off I may get a better idea of who made it. No markings ahead of the FSB but the upper is a Wilson. Minimal forge marks... just an M above where the gas tube sticks into the upper. - BG |
