I have a perm attached phantom and I want to get rid of my standard FSB and replace it with a folding one with the gas block all one piece.  It's one of the YHM products.  The YHM is easy to mount because it uses brackets with screws so I won't have any problems putting on the new one.  Do I have to cut off the old FSB?  I don't care if  I ruin it.  What do I do?  Thanks.

Use a dremel with a cutting wheel, but be very careful not to nick the barrel. but if you do use Birchwood Casey's flat-black touch-up pens.

Yep, you gotta cut it off.   Knock the pins out first, then just use a dremel cut off wheel on the sight...
